They proved it when the ESPN ref talking head stopped and said "stop saying we" or that they we sec biased. They knew everyone knows and needed to walk a line with how they talked about Bama. Except with McEroy of course.
But yes. Having to use past years as an excuse for this year showed the argument for Bama was weak. The ACC should have got credit for Clemson dominating Bama in the past if they want to go that route.
