The committee would basically be giving Georgia a bye week with FSU. That nerd couldn’t move the ball on Florida until the flags started flying. That doesn’t seem fair for the other teams who will have to prepare for a competent opponent. Texas is a loose cannon with one of the best rosters of the playoff contenders, at least it would be entertaining.

The more I think about the CFP committee chair’s “four best teams” comment, the more I think they might actually be setting themselves up to exclude FSU in the end. It would be insane for them to do
I could see them penalizing FSU for losing their starting QB - possibly take the approach of saying - well fsu w/o their stud will not be able to contend with the other 3 that would go in- or something along those lines. Would be kind of chickenshit if that played a role but - I could see that weighing on a decision.

If FSU wins, they should go. But the networks won't want a TCU debacle again and if FSU wins that's what they'll have.
Agreed - I could see them debating on whether they go on merit - as in an undefeated fsu acc champ - or who out of the potential 4th team candidates will actually make a game out of whoever is #1.
In other words - what’s our best bet to keep from getting the masses yelling “the committee fricked it up again!”

FSU is 100% in with a win. If Bama beats GA and TX wins in that scenario the commitee has a huge issue. I think TX should go but wouldn't put it past them to say the loss Texas had and Bama's win over #1 GA puts them in.

No way they get left out, but Georgia will beat them like they are notre dame.

The problem for Texas is if Bama loses. At that point undefeated FSU gets spot

Lost in all this is Florida St might be starting their third string quarterback if the other guy can’t go.
It's not lost, bro. Everybody knows.

That’s pointing out that this result would create chaos on a whole new order of magnitude.
Not really. If Alabama, Texas and FSU wins, I think it would be Washington, Michigan, FSU and Texas in. Alabama gets left out. Now if the other games are close and Alabama wins really big.....that's where chaos comes in.

Yeah I agree. Why else would they emphasize that so much last week? If FSU wins close I think they might
Anything is possible these days, but I would be more thanshocked if they leave out an undefeated conference champion.

Nope. Undefeated FSU would be in.

This is a no-brainer. You would never put a team with a loss over an undefeated team.

I can't believe this question is still being asked

FSU gets a spot if they win. They will be undefeated, conference champ, and they are FSU.
Can't believe this is even a question. They are one of the teams that has complete control of their own destiny. Not a 1 loss team.
