He learned from the GOAT. Kirby Smart is not better than Coach Saban.

None of that takes away from the fact that Georgia is an extremely good football team and Alabama must play its most complete game of the season to have a chance to win.

He said that Kirby is clearly a better coach than Saban. We'll see. Right now Saban is 4 to 1 over Kirby.

Even with all of Smart's success, it's difficult for me to take him seriously with his bowl cut and ridiculous hopping around on the sidelines. The same applies to Georgia. No matter what they accomplish, they never really win my respect or even attention.

He is a great coach. But Pollack does realize that Kirby just copied everything Saban did at Georgia. I even read his first season there he was handing out instructional stuff on sheets that still had our logo on it.

Pollack is a Kirby lap rider. That’s why he was included in the layoffs by ESPN. You’re supposed to be objective…not a fan boy.

For heaven's sake....it's David Pollack!
He's exactly where he should be...doing a podcast.

Exactly. Pollack and Kannell both got the axe because they never said anything really meaningful and rode their teams to a point where nobody took them seriously.

Go do sports talk radio in Athens or Tallahassee, you can be a homer all you want there, just not national.

I hope that Pollack soundbite to Saban is playing at ear bleeding volume in the locker room all day today and leading up to the game tomorrow.

Pollock always had ZERO objectivity when it came to UGA and Bama. So, pee on him for all eternity.

David Pollack is a meathead UGA homer. His next job should be the UGA sideline reporter.

Obviously there is more to it than this or else Jim McElwain would have multiple national titles at Florida.

I do believe, though, that Saban is more Lewis and Clark, Newton and Einstein, the Wright Bros., etc., as far as being the pioneer in how a modern college football program operates.

Kirby is clearly head and shoulders above all others from the Saban tree. He started with Saban young and stayed for many years until he knew the blueprint like clockwork. I'm sure Kirby put his own spin on a lot of that blueprint when he became a head coach. But the way Georgia is built is very reminiscent of 2009-2013 Bama.
