I cannot believe we aren't seriously trying to grab one of theses guys.

any team bringing in a portal QB is taking a chance of running a future QB off. QB was not a problem down the stretch. If we are looking for transfers, we need to be looking for guys who can catch the ball. Expecting these top WR targets to come in, as true freshmen, and set the world on fire is a little naive.

We need good WR in the portal with experience to go with our incoming freshman. They are talented and will make a ton of mistakes so need that experience to show them the way to learn, watch film, practice, not to getting shite off the field and so on…

I agree, and have been on record as saying I'm fine with Thorne if it comes down to it. A few days ago, the board was up in arms if you said that. Who are we going to run off by bringing in a transfer? Geriner? Hank Brown? Obviously Freeze doesn't think much of either one since they didn't even get a look when Ashford and Thorne were both playing like garbage.

And it doesn't have to be a situation where if we get a QB, we can't pick up an edge guy or a WR or a LB. Yes, one spot is going to take a hit with depth, but QB is the most important position. But the QB depth is also lacking. Like I said earlier, going all in with Thorne is risky. I think he will be okay with more time as he has already shown improvement. But if he goes down...we are truly screwed unless we have beenplaying the wrong guy for two years or Walker White trends in the opposite direction of the vast majority of true freshman SEC QBs.

Thompson and Coleman are head and shoulders better than anyone at the position on the roster as soon as they step on the field.
