or Georgia or LSU? frick it, even NMSt?

60 minutes…

That’s the attitude and mindset that has been missing at AU for the past 15 years.

Based off this weekend’s performance and the apparent recruiting results, I look for us to be competitive next year in every game we play.

We liked to knock them both of this year.

We got a good shot next year too.

Saying 60min is dumb. They will beat them when they out play and out coach them. They did both this year and still came up short. What they really need is to just start believing they can close the deal. It’s also not fair to say 15yrs because the last 6 games at home are dead even with Bama and a few years ago AU beat both UGa and Bama while they were top 2 teams. Our road woes are as much about believing in yourself as well. We fired a coach during Covid which was pretty stupid and then we fired a coach after 1yr and drug his name and family through the mud. Auburn prides itself on God and Family, but haven’t acted like it in several years. Time to quit over reacting to every single thing and sticking to the values the school represents.

Tell that to coach Dye. That was his response to the question when asked how long it would take to beat Bama after losing 8 years in a row. He didn’t say we needed a couple recruiting classes or we needed to out coach them. His answer was simple.. 60 minutes… if you don’t understand the point he was making, or the tone he set for the program, I can’t help you.

That quote is more about believing you’re able to beat them.

We haven’t struggled with that mentality since Dye made that quote. We’ve beat Bama more than anybody in the Saban years.

UGA/LSU we’ve struggled more.

You are right. It's a mindset. Our guys are a couple mental wins away from discovering a can't lose attitude. Yeah we will still lose some games but the tude is about to change.

We're probably at least three years from being on their level, talent wise. We should have beat them two years we had no business being within three touchdowns of them, so I'd guess in 25 at home is best shot.
