Dont be a low IQ football fan. Bringing more rushers would have affected the pocket. And one thing is for sure, only bringing two defenders was a losing playcall. Defending it makes you look foolish

They had impacted him though. They had him scrambling quite a lot. It gives you a chance to get him on the move or not able to step into his throw, increases the chance of an inaccurate throw or hurries him into a worse decision. What we did, let him have all the time he needed, a comfortable pocket, and it took defenders out of the endzone. If we were going to do that, just commit everyone to the endzone . we basically took three players out of the play for no reason.

Chex, I normally agree with your stuff, but you’re wrong here. It’s ok. I also won’t go full corch, but I can assure you, you’re out of your depth here on the football IQ bit. Hell, just look at the clip posted above. Roberts had half the defense in the endzone. If he can’t trust those guys to stop a Hail Mary…
Feel free to review the Dee Ford hit on Aaron Murray from 2013. It should up your IQ on what kind of defensive play call to use when its fricking 4th and goal from the 31.

Yep. Hell, i'd have been fine with us rushing 3 guys if it was a legit rush. I have no idea why Asante was just a spy. He should have at least delayed and then rush around the right side to try and flush Milroe to the near sideline. The three we had just basically stood and did nothing.

Bring 4 - one off each edge one in middle then LB on slight delay. Put 7 defenders checkerboarding the endzone 4 and 8 yards deep - you can pinch if you need to (they try to flood one side of the field). That simple and we win the game.
Hell - you could even get fancy if you want and overload one side of the pass rush to try to flush him away from his throwing arm. The one thing you can't do is just let him kick back for 6 seconds like it's 7 on 7 with no timer.

You're not remembering very well. You are not needing an all out blitz to make him decide quicker. Putting some pressure would have helped, but allowing him to smoke a brisket while deciding where and who to throw to with his arm strength and accuracy is pretty dumb, no beyond dumb.
