This has been circulating for days on 247, but Biddy chimed in today and said he has been hearing the same thing now.

Essentially, Hunter wanted to fire Sam after the Auburn game, but Chancellor Charles Robinson stepped in and basically said, "You made this bed, now sleep in it."

Is it true? Who the hell knows at this point. Folks are also adamant that the buyout $$ was there if it was really needed.

Whatever really happened, it may explain why HY gave that dumbass statement about retaining Pittman after beating a basement Conf USA team.

The Chancellor can go too, if that’s the case. Punish Hunter some other way but don’t punish the fans.

You refuse to make a minority hire? You turn down Prime Time? You OWN the fat white man Hunter.

Our next head coach will be a minority hire. Guaranteed. Which is fine if we can get a football version of Nolan Richardson to come in here and kick some arse. Change this culture of losing and command respect. Hell, hire Nolan. He still gets me fired up.

ETA-Mike Tomlin may be out of a job soon. I'd take him. I like Tomlin. Not that he's realistic, just sayin'. Holtz and Petrino have been our two most successful coaches since Broyles. Of course they still were trying to pad the bank account and prove something. He was an assistant at ASU.

It appears we have the only coach in the entire SEC that is incapable of getting his team motivated to play their final game of the season on rivalry week.

Yes, despite other teams having disappointing seasons too, first year HCs, two teams that have no head coaches at all, and even Vanderbilt's roster, they managed to put up infinitely more fight and motivation than us against their "rivals". We are the outlier on the scoreboard, the only team that didn't even try.

It's embarrassing. And here they are trying to shove this "more NIL and an OC will fix it, don't worry!" narrative up our gullible asses

Solid excuse. Which one you think is next? They were gonna fire Pittman but he needed another year to finish the remodel on his lake house?

Hunter thought maybe he should fire him but he didn't know what to do? Worked for Sam so why not.

I can't believe that he hasn't been fired yet.

The only thing that makes any sense is lack of money.
