If Bama defeats the Dawgs, can they make the CFP with one loss?

Dennis Dodd at CBS sports gives a decent breakdown on what needs to happen for a 1 loss (to Bama) UGA to make the CFP.
Bottom line, just beat Bama .. which I believe they will. If not, need FSU, Washington and Texas to slip-up. I expect that either Ohio St or Michigan will remain undefeated, so that will secure a spot for one of them.

No. 1 Georgia (11-0): Already in the SEC Championship Game against Alabama. Win out over Georgia Tech and Bama, and UGA is back in the playoff. As mentioned, the Dawgs are so firmly entrenched it's possible they could lose once and still get in. Amazingly, the "better" loss would be this week to Georgia Tech. The Dawgs could lose to the Yellowjackets and still go on and win the SEC title for a third straight year. The SEC champion has not been left out of the BCS/CFP since 2005. Losing to Georgia Tech, though, could force the committee to think twice.
It gets complicated in a different way if Georgia loses to Alabama. A second team from a conference has been in the BCS/CFP three times since 2011. However, in general, the committee favors conference champions over teams that lose those games. Things get sticky if Florida State and Washington, plus the Ohio State-Michigan winner, finish undefeated. That would account for three of the four spots with a one-loss Georgia competing against Alabama, the Ohio State-Michigan loser and possibly Texas as a one-loss Big 12 champion. In that scenario, Texas might get the fourth spot.

1-We need to beat Bama and Tech..given.
2-I think Oregon beats Washington and would be in. I don’t think Oregon St can beat Oregon. They are healthy and on a roll.
3-Texas and FSU have a reasonable chance of still dropping a game. Neither is playing elite.
4-If Bama beats us they have the best win in the Country. Beat us and they are in (if they get past AU).
Us getting in with a loss would require Texas and FSU to lose, a close Bama loss after a strong GT showing.
Screw all that ..Kirby needs the Bama win. Trust in Kirby. Beat Tech.

Of course they can. As is the case every single year, it's largely dependent on the other P5 champs. The suggestion that a 1-loss P5 champ has no chance is silly.

I want the joy of seeing the Dawgs putting Bama away handily in the SECCG en route to a 3rd straight CFP run. We haven't unlocked that achievement yet.
