Saw this on the BIG10 network and it's just rumour..... Personally, I don't think it would happen, but you never know, BK to LSU, Riley to USC, changes happen, ALOT. A&M apparently reached out to him and according to them the Aggie message boards have been talking about it all weekend. I do think that if Ohio State loses that massive game this weekend the pressure will be overwhelming. I don't think they would fire a 90% winning coach who recruits nationally and is a respected QB whisperer who surrounds himself with the best assistants. I don't know but if he loses the 3rd game in a row to UM, anything is possible.

Let's talk about Kelly

Leave easy street for college station? Why would Day do that? Buying guys from cushy jobs and easy paths isn't the way Ags are gonna achieve success. They need to find someone willing to work harder than everyone. Truthfully, they need to luck into Urban Meyer at the point in his career that Florida did. That's what they need.
Not guys who play one big game a year and don't have to do shite to land recruits.

Are you aware how much the aggies paid Jimbo Fisher?

ETA I’ll rephrase, because Day is highly compensated. Are you aware of Fishers terms?

Same reason Kelly left ND for LSU. LSU offered a big payday and ND didn't match because they weren't sad to see him go. They had Freeman waiting in the wings. So Kelly's ego forced him to go even though ND is the easier path.
If Texas AM offers a big pay day and Ohio State doesn't match then Day's ego might take over and send him to a tougher job...if Ohio State loses to Michigan again their administration won't be sad to see Day go.

overpaying for a coach that can't win the one big game they have on the schedule. that does sound like something aggies would do.

I’m sure they reached out but he’d be a fool to leave.

Nobody fires a coach that is 55–6 overall and 38–2 in conference.

Its hard to leave a school that you don't coach for.

You made all of this up.
Kelly never gave Notre Dame the opportunity to match LSU's offer, he just left.

Does Michigan know he's employed there?

Again, with nothing to show for it other than a couple straight losses to the only meaningful game on the schedule and being trounced from the CFPs.
Simply quoting records from a trash conference with 4+ Vandys is not impressive. Losing to the only good competition you play accounts for his losses. Again, that's not a good flex
Next year there will be a few more decent teams and a lot more travel. Can he keep up?

Your point was idiotic the first time, so not sure what you think doubling down on it is going to do for you.

Probably... He's apparently been working for them for at least two years now.

You must not be aware of Charles Cooper or Woody Hayes
