Somebody please explain the mindset of A&M fans and administration.

Desperation is a stinky cologne.
Is that it though? Are they just so desperate for a relevant football program that they would do literally anything to get it? $100 million for the outgoing coach, $100 million for the new one? Biggest player payroll in college football? Is there a limit? Maybe not?
It's a game played by teenagers.

For a bunch of people that pretend to have better lives to deflect from the fact their athletic program sucks they sure do crave relevancy. Makes you wonder if they really are that rich and really do have such great lives

Hilarious post from a LSU hypocrite. Let’s see, hmmm, you’re currently on the books for what $117,000,000 for Obregon and Kelly at your poor little school? And we only owe Jimbo about $75,000,000? Bet we hire a new coach snd still come under that. We dont have Scott Woodward squandering money away anymore, you do.

Well... 2 out of the 3 names mentioned are getting paid NOT to coach. So which 1 of those 2 coaches are getting paid more NOT to coach??

I think you are on to something. Just after the BOR meeting last week they did a conference call for all alums and supporters of Texas A&M. I think there were over 2,400,000 on the conference call. Everyone had a chance to give their opinion.
The consensus among all fans is we are desperate. We took a vote. Gave the BOR and Bjork the marching orders.
Fan desperation... you nailed it sport. We make the calls.

The same mindset of those that think inner city schools fail because of lack of funding so they throw more taxpayer money at it yet the schools never get any better.

I come in here to troll the poors and discuss sports. But that only happens in 1 of 10 threads.
The other 9 of 10 are started by LSU fans complaining about another team rather than focusing on their own problems like their defense, BKs identical contract to Jimbos, or what they are going to do when Daniels leaves for the draft.

Not hard. They didn't see JF winning in the long term. Or likely medium term.
If I were an Aggie fan I'd be a bit embarrassed about how much they paid him and will pay him, but pretty happy that a change is going to come.
There is an upside to starting fresh.

Yep. The change had to be made or else risk being in the same position next year in a new era of the SEC.
The only people who deserve to hear Aggies eat crow are FSU fans because they were right about Jimbo from the jump due to experience with him and predicted everything that happened.

O won a NC and we’re paying $3M this year, $2.5 next year and $2.3M for the final year in 2025.
Jimbo didn’t win shite and ATM paying $75M not to coach
Another sad point (assuming math is correct) is since 2017, ATM paid Jimbo about $50M.
