You ever thought about how dumb PI is as a call?

A WR’s whole arse job is to catch the ball and beat the coverage. You might bring up jamming and certain pressing at the line, but Mike McDaniel and Steve Sarkisian have shown you can basically neutralize that whole problem with their type of offense.
A PI or lack of PI has directly influenced the outcome of the final drives of 2 major championships in football in the last 10 years (last year Super Bowl/2016 NC)
Pick plays and some rub routes might as well be PI as much as they like to call it on the slightest pushing and pulling of the jersey. I would rather them double the penalty for roughness than have PI as a penalty. It just doesn’t make sense. If I’m a corner and you get past me to catch the ball but then I catch up and run into you right before you catch it and you don’t catch it, I’m the offender?
What? I’m not saying you can commit arson against the WR. I just think it takes all the skill and complexity out of one of the best position battles of the game. When you double the roughness penalty but take out PI, you’re essentially forcing the WR AND OC to not suck on any given play because the opposing team isn’t afraid to George Pickens your WR group.

remove holding and PI as penalties.
no longer would those 100% subjective penalties be used to influence the outcome of games.

Remember boy, your job as a CB is to grapple and perform a rear naked choke on the wide reciever the moment the ball is snapped. I expect nothing less.

Yes, many times. It's far too impactful a penalty to be as subjective as it is. I would prefer them to change pass interference to only apply in cases where the defender intentionally causes the receiver to lose their feet. Otherwise, well, football is a violent sport. If the ball is in the air and you want it, you'd better fight for it.

I am not so sure about that. We are basically living in an era of no holding called, and it has given the offense WAY too much of an advantage, to the extent it sort of ruins the game.
I think PI has its place as well, but it should be a 15y penalty across football- not at the point of the foul as in the NFL. Also, with the back shoulder throws becoming more and more prevalent, then college refs needs to start calling the push offs better as well.

So....if a CB tackles the WR while the ball is in the air, let's move on to the next play?

I've always like the 15 yards or point of foul with automatic first down for pass interference.

Is it that hard to type out "pass interference?"

Exactly. It happens on 90% of plays, but is hardly ever called, and it has a totally outsized effect on the outcomes of games when it is. So by removing it we neutralize money-whipped refs and maintain the general status quo of never calling holding.
And it does give the offense an advantage, which is why we should remove PI, which levels the playing field for the defense. Want to move the ball in chunks? You have to earn it now. No more of this bullshite underthrown ball always resulting in a PI because the WR comes back into the chest of the DB.
Teams will adapt. If a DB is tackling a WR, then he won't be able to tackle the ball carrier as he runs by.
People love offense way too much to ever do something like this but it's the best way to stop game fixing.

Pass interference should exist but defensive pass interference is called too often and offensive pass interference too seldom. Anytime it is close, the flag will come out on the defender. Meanwhile, WRs push off like crazy and teams run pick plays all of the time and it is never called. Clemson's pick on Alabama at the end of the 2016 NCG was egregious and I am still floored that there was no flag.
I am convinced that, over the past few years, teams have started just chucking it deep and trying to draw the defensive pass interference. The cards are stacked against the secondary because ESPN likes the deep passes for their highlight clips.
