Stopping the run

Can we do it? I've been hearing it all week about how they run the ball a lot more than other teams. Giving we saw Mizz have success with the stretch play, do you guys think we can put a cork on the run game and Dart taking off?
With 10 off the field, who spies dart?
I feel like we can but not so sure we have the dudes to do it.
What say yall?

Their run game scares me the most. The Missouri game was not the only time this year we’ve struggled with perimeter runs, and I am sure Kiffin is planning on attacking that with Judkins and/or Dart.
Their success or lack thereof doing that could be what decides the game.

It felt like we were willing to give up the run game between the 20's in an effort to ensure there was little pass game
IMO - I think we contain Judkins better because he is a big play name. Some times you play with a lesser name like Shroeder at RB and you don't respect it as much subconsciously. (not saying he doesn't have great stats but no one is mentioning him nationally every week)
Having to stop a Judkins, there is extra juice there in the effort

The fact of the matter is that the key to victory for Missouri was establishing the passing game and running Cook on some designed draws and other looks off the pass (I said as much before the game in one of these threads). They were never going to beat us with just the power run. They could move the ball, but not beat us. Kirby and co focused their efforts on taking away the passing and Cooks legs in the second half (had to go SPY). They were successful.
Ole Miss isn't beating us with the passing game. The focus of Kirby and co this week, IMO, has been on scheming for stopping the run in all its variations. We'd rather Ole Miss find success through the air, where they aren't as comfortable, than on the ground. Take them out of what they want to do and force them into shite that they don't want to do.

My main concern is that Ole Miss can blend what Auburn and Missouri did with the ground game. Auburn killed us with the designed QB runs (specifically the counter) and Missouri got us with the stretch play. Ole Miss has the personnel to do both. This is by far the best offense we'll see all regular season.

I think Kirby will fix some things this week and come up with something.
