Yesterday I made these comments about Daniels and the LSU fanbase.

1. "Alot of their players bail. It's how things are done in BR and the fanbase will always find a way to rationalize and forgive it.
A couple of Bama players have done it in the past and the fanbase sorta punishes them for it. Quitters at Alabama are either footnotes or they're forgotten entirely. So few quit on Alabama, I would have to gooble who actually has.
Well at LSU, the fanbase tosses off to their quitters, they lionize them. They forgive and make excuse for them and when Daniels quits, they'll do the same for him."
2. "Well it's not the first time you folks have been suckered by players pulling shite like this and it won't be the last.
Daniels got real savvy, real fast and left the game. This is how star LSU players roll. They don't frick around.
One day Daniels will send Turner a thank you card."
3. "I live in Louisiana and follow LSU as closely as your own fanbase. Every program has its own unique culture and a big part of LSU's includes star players saying frick it, I'm done.
There's nothing for LSU to play for now. This is the point in the season where your best players start bailing. You know this."
4. "He's perfectly fine. No one has to hope "he comes back quickly". He came back quickly last night only to think better of it, see the dollar signs, turn and walk back off the field."
5. "This is what star LSU players are enculturated to do. Once it becomes apparent they've lost, they bail.
He took the Fournette/Guice path, channeled the ghost of Colt McCoy and did his best peace out maneuver.
Would you really be surprised if he suffered some vague, unknown injury and sat out the rest of the season? Only to lament how he wishes he could play with his brothers but that at least he can support them on the sidelines.
This sorta culture is in the wallpaper and carpet fibers at LSU. You'll never get it out".
Now juxtapose those comments with this thread currently running on the LSU board.

This thread and those that will surely follow, look like every thread they've ever started that centers around their quitters.
As long as they keep rationalizing, forgiving, making excuses for and lionizing their quitters, they'll keep doing it.

What’s with all these “I want to start a thread about another thread” threads today?

Do you HONESTLY think anyone is going to waste precious moments of their life reading that big ol post?

Leonard, Stingley, Chase, etc. The list is long of LSU quitters. They either sit out entire seasons or just mail it in protecting draft stock.
None of their players give a damn about the LSU program.
Only Florida comes close. Their whole team usually opts out the bowl game for the last 5 years or so.
It's why LSU will never be amongst the top echelon of programs. There is no real prestige attached to playing there. It doesn't mean anything.
