Does LSU go on to win?

I don't think so, and neither do you.

No LSU does not win. The game flipped when JD hit Taylor right around the sticks on that 2nd and 12, which was after a snap infraction by our center (he had 3). On the next play, JD broke a 30 yard scramble, a flag came out (the only holding call on a a scramble all night), LSU punted and Bama scored to make it 35-28, tip pass INT and Bama gets it to 42-28 that is ball game. As long as LSU was playing with the lead or had the ball with the game tied, they had a chance to win a game like the one with Ole Miss that LSU lost.

LSU was not stopping Bama at all, they ran it for 288 and threw it for 220 and all those running yards were not just QB designed runs.

Agree the drive killing hold into tipped INT was the turning point. But however slim — we definitely have a shot if JD plays the 4th.

Last year all it took was a 2-pt conversion
(bet ya arse they weren’t going to play for OT this year if they did get to 13 unanswered in that situation)

Whereas, I just turned off the TV when they said JD was officially in concussion protocol.

It’s not really fair for us to say it’s why Bama won… but it’s not really fair to say it didn’t matter or even potentially affect the outcome.

Pretty typical holding call. The QB would have been sacked if not for the hold. That's when you typically see that flag thrown.

A little backwards on that. The play after the holding call on Blackwell which wiped out the thirty yard run (and was definitely holding like 20 or so other plays that night), was the 2nd and 17 where Taylor dropped the perfectly thrown football. Without question one of the two biggest plays of the evening (the other being the tipped ball that resulted in the pick). Once Bama went up two scores it was absolutely over. The targeting call which should have been made, while frustrating, was not in any way why LSU lost the game.
