It’s always seemed weird to me that Georgia was one of the original 13 colonies.

The Georgia Colony was created to protect the rest of the colonies from Florida. We're still doing it to this day. You're welcome!

Keeping Baja Georgia and its residents more or less contained within the dredge tailings of the Chattahoochee River is a burden that Georgia bears as a service to the rest of the nation. That unruly lot would destroy America if not for Georgia

They keep getting Yankee reinforcements every day but all of them arrive already mostly dead and dropped off south yonder, past Tampa, where they spend their remaining daze eating Italian food and complaining about the sand.

I ain’t saying Georgia doesn’t look that way, but don’t act like who drew Missouri could past a sobriety test either.

As it turns out I’ve been up all night drinking heavily & I have just drawn Missouri straight from memory and I have uploaded the result

New Mexico and Alabama share a similar shape. The Department of Agriculture stickers on gas pumps in New Mexico look identical to Alabama...New Mexico is a fat Alabama but those stickers are not scaled and look more like Alabama than New Mexico...

Alabama and Mississppi are almost mirror images...

the state highway symbol on signs in Washington State look like a mushroom cloud from a distance. They are actually a profile of George Washington looking to the left but at 80 MPH from a distance they look like a mushroom cloud. Very disconcerting when seen for the first time until one realizes what they actually depict.

There are three random items to consider...

all of Alabama and Mississippi were once part of the Georgia colony.

And there was a provision of the charter that extended the NW border westward to the Pacific, IIRC.
