Yes he has. Freeze isnt doing him any favors with the 2 qb system either. Freeze is main one pushing it

It's not. The book on Auburn for opposing defenses is play straight man across the board. They can't get open and the line can't pass block for any real amount of time. Combine that and it's pathetic.

Freeze’s plan is probably to run for 300+ yards against Miss St, Vandy, Arky and NMSU and go 7-5 and get to a bowl game. So there may be a few more sub-100 yard passing games oncoming.

Explain how Tulane threw for 240 yards on then or Ga Tech 300+ Yes our Wrs aren’t future first round picks but they’re plenty serviceable enough to have a decent offense. The offense is broke. Tulane has a Better team than Auburn right now. Remember they put USC down in a bowl game last year.

Shane Hooks had 1000 yards at a HBCU playing inferior comp, everyone worth a damn on that team went to Colorado with Prime.

Koy Moore couldn’t get any sort of playing time at LSU and it’s easy to see why.

Still don’t know about Burton he’s young and hasn’t played a ton of snaps. He could get better.

Nope. The weakest part of the offense is the coaching.

WR play is not good, neither is QB, but the entire design of this offense and the plays is horrible, and that is the weakest part of the offense.

Good coaches field offenses that try to make use of the talent available. I haven't even seen a single bright spot on offense.

Oh, by the way, all of those delay of game penalties and near penalties, rushed snaps, etc, means the coaching staff can't make up their mind on what play to call, or, worse yet, they are arguing withe each other about it.

Hunter is nowhere close to what he has been in the past simply because his offense isn't designed to get there. Similarly, all the other running backs, which is the strongest position on our offense, are underutilized. The tight ends were more productive last year. The OL is much maligned, but I have seen too many plays where outside rushers are not covered by design but the play required the QB to be looking at the other side of the line.

At least in 2012 they put in Jonathan Wallace and there were two or three plays he could run. I haven't even seen anything that good out of this crowd.

The QB and the WRs positions are miserable and that's more likely the biggest problem. Is Hugh not a spread option guy?

If some of the issues linger then I will hold them against Hugh. If Hugh doesn't know how to coach our current dumpster fire then I will let him pinch his nose and run out the clock. I cant fault anybody for not knowing how to coach our offense. Hugh recruiting is what needs to keep Auburn fans busy for a while.

Sounds like the excuses people made for Tuberville/Mazzone in 1999-2001. "We just need to give them time to recruit for their system."

If he's a real coach, he can find something in the players he's got. We'd see something of offense that looks like a bright spot for the future. I see nothing.

It is mind boggling to say the least. Worst part for me is the 2 Qb system. It doesnt work. Pick one and design the offense around his skills set

The old saying is a team that plays two qb's has no qb. As far as WR vs QB play is concerned when your QB can't react to a blitz that everyone in the stadium sees coming you got a problem at QB. The problem with the passing game is probably in both rooms.

Well I've seen what Hugh can do already, so I'm not worried about whether he can coach or not. I think he can and he has proven it.

Tuberville did pretty well developing players. He is not applicable here.

The issue isn't any one offense group. It's all of them that are sub-par. Sometimes having one group being sub-par can be made up if the other group/groups are good.

We don't have a good Line, QB or WR.

If the WRs get wide open, then the QBS will throw a bad pass. If the QB throws a good pass, the WRs will drop it. And both of those are dependent on good pass blocking allowing the QB to throw it.

The stars have to align perfectly for us to complete a pass.

Ashford has a "touch" problem. He either throws every pass like he's trying to throw through two concrete block walls or he tries to add touch and short arms the pass.

But either way .....The coaches are expanding the problem with this half assed Ashford for two plays then send in Thorne approach.

Hunter breaks one, looking like Hunter again, then sits for two series ......There is no rhythm and certainly no consistency. The coaching staff has created a problem themselves ......If they want to play this circle jerk .....put Thorne in for a half .... if he can't do it then change.

My mistake. I intended to type Mazzone (Tubberville's first OC at Auburn) but muscle memory made me type "Malzahn". Different issues.

I also take exception to that player development claim, but freeze still has time to prove or disprove that.
