Correct, but these losses are mounting up. They may be forced to actually treat it as a season award for the best player. IMO, strength of schedule should be the only team factor

Jayden Daniels is probably the best player in the country, but wins matter. Even with Penix getting caught in whatever strange Apache curse that Washington always catches against JD's former team.
