I’m not a bitch about officiating but was it just me or did it seem they missed a lot of stuff tonight.

I know a facemask they missed
I know they missed the the incomplete review on the INT
Seemed to be several obvious holding calls especially on runs when Ole Miss was on offense.

And to me seems the spots on tackles were a half yard extended on Ole Miss and short a half yard when we had the ball.

Am I reaching here or just in my feels right now?

And no I’m not saying it made a difference in the game just the worst I’ve witnessed this season and there has been some bad calls

This crew was amazingly bad. I don’t think they cost us or anything. They were just as incompetent as could be. One of the worst crews I’ve seen in a long time.

Our loss was legit cuz Ole Miss is better.

But the refs were English Premier League-level awful.

It wasn't just you.
They were awful, but it wasn't one-sided.
They sucked equally.

They got stuck in an endless loop of makeup calls. They’d miss a pretty blatant one. The call a soft one on the other team. Then makeup for it and call another soft one on the other team, and so on and so on. Reviews took forever and they would review dumb shite and not review things they should have.

I believe Birmingham took the last few minutes off .....They should have called that for review. One too many six packs and done for the night. They missed the review for that play. The review should have been called and then act like a professional and call the game ....even if it's a bad call. Which it was ...

Facemasks happen so fast at times ....you simply miss them. Especially when they are not head jerks.

Keep in mind that the spots on downs are observed and seen from at least five yards behind the runner......You let the runner go by, then trail from the LOS. The last two crews have been suspect.

They were bad for OM in the first half and bad for AU in the 2nd.

A lot of the calls were just at terrible times too. I know of two in the first half that extended OM drives that ended in TDs for them. The PI on 3rd down and then the 4th down where we had Judkins but the penalty gave them the 1st.

No, you are absolutely correct. The ref on the Ole Miss Sideline was spotting the ball against us all night. There were indeed multiple blatant holding penalties that were not called and Face mask on Thorne not called. There was also a pick play called on us that I felt was complete bullshite. And Ole Miss ran a pick play on the 4th down call that we actually stopped them on.

Keep in mind ....we have an elevated camera view. Now go down on the field level and try to call it.

There is a reason the best officials all start with the eight year olds they can see over the tops of.

25 years including Semi Pro and one Doug Flutie Foundation game ......all NFL ball players.

Told the Back Judge to play ten yards further back than normal ......they still outran him to the goal line ....

Worked like a dog to get into the SEC. Took the promotion and pay raise at work instead ....

Across the country yesterday, it was as bad a day of officiating as I can remember. Every game I watched, just weird, terrible, mind-boggling calls.

there were flags being thrown by the back judge ref 30 yards away from the play. The pick play in particular.

Most of last week and this weeks officials will not be on the SEC Field next year .....Both White Hats and maybe the Umpires .....but not the field officials ....
