Did he retire, or get a Fellowship?
I paid $2,000 for that dude (History Scholarship). One of the best Professors that I ever had. I loved his lectures.
Amazing knowledge of French and English History.

You’re not wrong re: anything you’ve posted…that being said, you sound completely unhinged. Maybe it’s just your frustration boiling over? I’d sure like to think so, but going off on this at 3 am on a sports forum certainly dilutes your message.

I immediately apologize.
Dr. Kicklighter is, and forever shall be, an amazing professor.
Lindy Biggs (MIT) might match him. She went to Massachusetts Institute. She was my close favorite.
Only for January through May only. She doesn't like summers.

It reads like Harry’s rants.

I'm pretty sure that I am right.
No education should charge YOUR kids, more than $1,500 per semester in a trade school.
Auburn is charging $6,000 per semester for an identical education.
It is good to learn Shakespeare and learn about Rome. It is a waste of money, however.
Auburn should only be focused on Engineering and Agriculture. As the Protestants intended. Small, yet powerful.

Work at Auburn and can’t begin to tell you the waste that goes on. It’s like in self serving bureaucracy in that it exist not fir the students but to keep the salaries going and increasing their pay.
The board is no help either and approve everything that comes across their desks. DEI has become rampant and they even have a whole building to push the crap. Recently all Facilities employees were required to take three, 2hour DEI seminars!
In most companies HR is there to help management. At Auburn HR is in control. HR is so fearful of the employees you have to go in through a metal detector past an armed security guard and still have to be buzzed in to different parts of the building . You then have to sign in to see the person you want!
No other buildings on campus has this. Not even Samford Hall. Stadium on game day does have detectors but not any of the other buildings.

Why is your masters courework so heavy into 101 type courses?
Are you of the regressive clan?
And despite the coursework being a nuisance to you are you going to benefit from having the Masters degree? If so, stick it out...

AU is a STEM school. If you want to read a novel, then go to Amazon.

What masters degree has you taking English and history courses? You realize grad school isn’t like undergrad where you take a variety of classes across the disciplines, right?
Methinks you’re full of shite.

You had me until the last paragraph. You can’t skip the 8:00 Monday staff meeting in real life because “it’s boring and predictable”…

Maybe 50% of the people going to “liberal” arts colleges need to be there.
World better think baws that got a skill instead and use it every day.

Don't send your kids to Auburn.
I already have mine there
She is in her second year and is in the engineering program. So far in regards to scheduling her classes, her professors, etc she really hasn't had an issue.
Our biggest complaint would be the lack of housing for students both on campus and off campus. When she was a freshman there were no available spots for her to get on campus so she had to live off campus.

You should transfer and take your amazing talents to another college.
