After 5 weeks this is my current 4 in and then listed after is ones I believe can get in but needs help and in order…

Michigan
Oregon
Florida state
Texas

UGA
Notre Dame
Penn state
Oklahoma
Ohio state
Washington
Texas A&M
USC
Alabama

I don’t think anyone else really has the staying power talent or schedule remaining to get in. I’m sure I overlooked some team but my opinion currently

Who you got in currently?

Haven't checked schedules and details but gut says:

Free Shoes
Oregon
Michigan
uga

Because frick uta, that's why.

OR for halfway shits & giggles

Kentucky / Ole Miss
Washington / Wazzou / Oregon State / USC (PAC 2 stacked)
sips / Okie
Pedo State / OSU

Things will shake out after another 3 / 4 games. Let's revisit 11/1!

ETA - PAC 2 Champ is IN. Tiny shot at 2.
B1G Champ is IN. Tiny shot at 2.
SEC Champ is IN. Too much cred built up, too tough of a schedule, too many viewers to leave out. All hell breaks out with a snub.

So looks like either ACC Champ Free Shoes is IN unless they really trip up, or uta. Don&t care who gets left out, but folks will be melting particularly hard this year. Should be fun.

Hard for me to imagine the SEC Champ not getting in. Even if the conference does suck this year

Still feels like Bama is going to back door in unless we can beat them in Jordan Hare.

UGA is very good but I could easily see them dropping 1-2 games.

And I don’t think they are playing like one of the top 4 teams at this time. I think most UGA fans would say the same

Actually, I think Texas and FSU are interchangeable. If both of them win out, one of them is gonna get screwed.

I see no way the PAC-12 champ is left out since the Pac-12 is actually pretty damn strong this year. SEC champ won't be left out, nor will the B1G champ. So either ACC or Big-12 is gonna get screwed.

I remember when I played HS football way back in the day, I could look forward to a whole Friday of not doing shite at school. After the game I could look forward to the next day comparing bruises or soreness with my twin (we competed in having the worst bruises-because competing was everything for us) and then reading the sports page at Pop's in the morning before getting lost in CFB all day long.

Which that brings me to my main point, I have a nephew that will probably make All State in 3A and I cant ever find a reliable medium where I can read his stats in 2023. What do the HS players do on Saturday mornings if they aren't reading about themselves in the sports blurbs?

BTW does anyone here still get the physical paper (as in delivered)

Maxpreps if the school updates stats. If not there isn’t really a good spot.

To watch playoff games you have to get a membership I think it’s like $11 a month to the NFHS network to watch playoff games.

Maxpreps isnt good enough. For one reason stats dont get updated quick enough. There is also not much local fanfare in that. I remember reading every team's blurbs in the area. Like I said I looked forward to the Saturday paper and feel for the current athletes.

The Saturday (and Sunday :)) Sports paper used to be big.

The alternative media is picking up (podcasts) but there is still a huge need out there (which is backwards from where we were.) We need to partner and fill this need and then sell out to ESPN what do you say?

I can literally download an app called "Gamechanger" for Softball and keep it up while coaching first base and then at the end of the game the 10 year old players and peacocking moms can read their game recap like it was written from ESPN. They can also see their video while batting. The technology is out there.

As far as I know there is no game changer type app for football. Maybe a local paper like a community paper might have it. Also most high school teams have twitter accounts but rarely put up individual stats like tackles.

Sucks but there could be a niche money maker out there but it’s so hard to get information from a large statewide group of schools plus all the divisions. It would take a massive volunteer staff just to compile information

Oregon or Washington
Bama or Georgia
Ohio State or Michigan
Texas or 1 lossGeorgia.

So winner of P12CG I’ll say Washington
Winner of SECCG I’ll say Bama
B1G winner I’ll say Ohio St
Texas IF run table, if not UGA with one loss

I refuse to acknowledge FSU.
