Does Jalen Milroe have a better deep ball than Bryce Young?

Not comparing them as quarterbacks but strictly deep ball only. Jalen is completing almost 80% of deep passes. Bryce was a great quarterback but I think his deep ball was never a strength. What y’all think?

But reading, anticipation and other more subtle aspects of the game need improvement. BUT, he is definitely making perceptible progress in almost every half. It's very encouraging. A road environment this week is big. It was good scheduling fortune heading into the A&M game.

You are totally correct. His anticipation does need improvement. He’s waiting for receivers to be wide open before he releases the ball. I do think Rees is starting to tailor the offense towards Jalen’s strengths. IMO we need to stop so many two tight end sets and bring another receiver on the field to spread the field. Two of his interceptions this year have come on max protection with two man routes.

He's looked good on deep balls so far. I think it probably helps that he has such a strong arm. He doesn't have to sling it with all his strength to get it down there. It's easier to be accurate when you can use a normal throwing motion and you're not doing everything you can just to throw it far enough.

Perhaps but make no mistake with Bryce Young and defenses having to respect the ability to pass and score lots of points this team is undefeated. Until the passing game becomes more stable and consistent we will be a low scoring team depending on the defense to hold teams under 21pts

99% of the time he WILL NOT throw the ball unless he straight up sees the receiver is open as hell, which is too late sometimes.
I’m glad he’s the starter and still need Reese to be better. But he’s VERY limited with what he’s going to do as far as anticipation goes. And that will not improve, imo.

It seems like most of Milroe's long passes are when the receiver is running from right to left across the field.I'd like to see some long passes down the sidelines or something. When he's on it's a pretty pass though.

I am shocked with I see him complete some of the long ones especially when he is hit right after the throw. Other than that I just do not see Milroe developing into a top qb. He just takes too long to pull the trigger. Something simple like throwing it out of bounds at times instead of taking a loss is a problem for him. If we win any big games with him at qb I will be surprised. I do not understand how we scored 31 in the first half last night. The three field goals in the second half is more indicative of this offense.

He definitely has limitations but it’s not just him. Our offensive scheme sucks. Two man routes shrink the field. No creativity at all. Just runs up the middle.
