Bama took in $214 million and spent $195 million

Auburn took in $174 million and spent $151 million.

They are 3rd and we are 11th. Question what the Hell are they spending the extra $44 million on.

BTW Auburn shows the $15.5 million committed which I assume is old contracts.

I know Saban makes more than Freeze, but I would not think that Oates is making more than Pearl or that their BB Coach is making moire than Thompson.

I mean, travel to all those extra games wasn't cheap, to begin with. That clearly isn't the whole $44M, but just thinking the March Madness run and the SECCG/CFP run, those travel expenses are not cheap.

This amount takes into account $588,721 that the athletics department transferred back to the school and, under a 2015 change in the NCAA's reporting system, is recorded as a revenue loss. This transfer amount cannot exceed the sum of money the department received from student fees and direct institutional support: $16,150,132. (Subtract the two).

I know they approved something like $105-$110 million just a few years ago for renovations to Bryant-Denney. They are either still building, or just finished up this summer.

Gotta imagine some of that is still being paid for.

I read somewhere that Bama had spent money on improvements to athletic facilities. Presumably that would account for at least some of the $44 million
