After watching us compete like that, I think being so mad for the BYU loss makes sense.

We looked like we could compete with anyone, then we turtle shelled when BYU punched us back. We didn’t do that against LSU.

We did it last year against A&M too. If Pittman can fix that, we might be a pretty good team.

Takeaways from LSU:
- Offensive Line looked good until the 4th quarter
- Receivers and Running backs are on par with anyone
- Defense looked way better than last year with all the swarming and attacking
- If any team can take the top off us, we are screwed
- KJ still looks like a tight end throwing the ball, take away his options, give him 1 read then run or hand offs. He is a statue trying to contemplate where the ball should go until the pocket collapses and has 3 hands on him then decides to move
- Coaching still lost us this game
- Hasz is beyond amazing, every receiver goes and attacks the ball
- Dubinion is a pile mover, AJ Green needs a hole and then he gone, that’s why he plays more.
- Where is Sataegna?

Also non game related: I wanted Kiffin before Pittman but here is a stat I just heard:

Lane Kiffin is 1-19 against teams from the Power 5 that go at least 9-3. If Bama goes 9-3 this year, he will be 1-20.

This will probably be my main theme for the rest of the year. Others have said this but it feels like the Toledo year under Bert is a real possibility this year. BYU is better than we thought but still should have won that game.

I know we over pursue and don't keep gap control all the time but on 3rd and long it feels like we are almost always going to get decent pressure. Seems like it has been awhile since we had that type of defense pass rush.

Sam is still a shite in-game coach. Arkansas will continue to lose close games becsuse of it.

Thats all that needs to be said.

This season could turn out like it was in 2012 or 2015.

Yeah. Really don’t get this one if we’re not RSing him and having him return punts.

Perhaps, and I don't know this for a fact, he is still working on his route running and/or his blocking.
Seems that Sam mentioned that a while back.

My takeaway

Is Cody Kennedy still employed?

Yep he is

Sam Pittman sucks until he finds a quality replacement.

If it’s 2015, he will get an extension.

I don’t understand why people continue to bang on KJ. We really deserve the karma that comes our way as a fanbase. He stuck it out through the worst time in our program and just tied Matt Jones for career TDS. He’s not Cam, but when the OLINE is serviceable, he’s pretty solid. Also, I thought he looked great in the pocket with his footwork; maneuvering through the pocket as it collapsed…I do agree he needs to step up and run before hands get to him.

We’re the same fanbase that set BAs truck on fire.

Yeah kj isn’t the problem. The only mistake he made was not tucking and running on that 2nd goal line drive but he’s human mistakes happen. If it wasn’t for him we would’ve never been in that game at the end.

Because he isn’t accurate, the longer he takes on a throw the less accurate it is. He is a timing person who can’t go past his first read for accuracy.

He can’t go through progressions, which has lead to most of his sacks sitting in a pocket like a statue.

Great college QB, not elite, not a pro QB.

That had nothing to do Brandon Allen fricking everyone’s girlfriend, while he had a girlfriend. Definitely not his girlfriend or a rich frat boy that did it. Weird how they never investigated it and came to a conclusion, insurance companies love to do payouts and no conclusions.

I read your drivel often with some tinge of respect, this I do not.

Even the announcers during the game... Herbstreet said, "Watch Jefferson through his reads, in this play he went to his third read in his progression and made a excellent throw".

Dude, he is better than a Tight End.. IMHO, and not IYHO... so... I prefer to believe that I am right!

70.4%

That’s KJ’s current completion percentage.

The fact that he's doing this behind our Oline is amazing.

More on the receivers. The balls are high low or behind them over 50% of the time.

Lol mad because you dated a cleat chaser? Arkansas fans are the worst. Hog football would be a lot worse off if KJ wasn’t here. He’s probably in the top 4 when it comes to SEC QBs. Defense has failed us 99 percent of the time. Not KJ

Over 70% completion percentage is pretty dang good by the way.

And you mad dumb son.

I have never said I wanted to replace KJ. I think he is a good QB, he isn’t great, he isn’t elite.

He will be a tight end in the pros, or he won’t play. If he was more accurate we would be getting them YACs but he doesn’t hit people in stride, they usually have to break stride.

I don’t think he can read defenses, that’s why he freezes up like a statue, until a defender touches and releases him from the game of freeze tag he puts himself into.

Take off your rose colored Arkansas media glasses and watch him. The throws are either high, low, or behind. His deep ball is amazing because the receivers can readjust without breaking stride and get under it.

He is amazing if he knows where the ball is going pre snap. But if there is any type of formulation or thought processing the ball isn’t where it’s supposed to be.
