Maybe it's just me but it seems like CNS has mellowed out in recent years. You don't see him going nuts on the sidelines anymore, no matter what happens.

I'm not saying I'd like to see him have a heart attack or stroke but it seems like the team played better if he (from time to time) went off on them.

It could be that he's just gotten older and it's harder to have that fire in the belly. Maybe he's taking Xanax to mellow him out. Who knows?

Well, watch some old replays. This has been hashed out about three times already. The rants aren’t going to happen anymore, nor do they need to. There is not a single coach in football that does this anymore. And yet they still win. Saban was two key injuries away from going back to back in 2021 without having to rant.

I see Kirby do it all the time.

He goes on rants when we are winning big and making mistakes.

Need to be winning big first. Not as much of that last few years.

Nah. The Kirby Smart rage video is about 2 minutes long and is mostly him chewing someone out over the headset. Occasionally he gets after some players.

Saban's is 5 and a half minutes long and includes all time epic rants. Like screaming at Kiffin and Cottrel.

It has actually been a very long time since Saban fully lost his shite on the sidelines. He has been mellow for the last 5-7 years or so. Maybe longer. The last time I remember seeing him have a full meltdown on the sidelines was when he broke his headset in the 2019 Orange Bowl. We were driving late in the first half to score a TD on Oklahoma when we committed a pre-snap penalty inside the 10-yard line. Saban went absolutely nuts.

I think you're forgetting about this meltdown in Knoxville

I mean, given how poorly this team plays, he'd literally lose his shite the entire game.

No one has that kind of energy, especially an old man.

He didn't lose it but was hot at Arnold on that TD drive when they came off the field.

Saban lost his fire when he became a grandfather.

It is what it is.

Can’t expect a man to keep doing it well into his 70s. I miss it too.

I mean, he got pretty pissed during the game today a few times. Yelled at players and such. I don't expect him to throw things around anymore, but he still has that fire.

He got hot a couple of times, loved seeing that fire.
