They've brought home hardware with QBs that couldn't win 8 games at any other school. There are 21 other guys on the field that have a say in the matter.

While true, that's because the had an OL. They don't now.

At some point we have to face reality. Does anyone think this team is better than last year's team?

If you don't, why would you think they are gonna run the table?

True. But they had everything else looking great on those teams. Strong Olines. Heisman type RBs.

Because all the SEC west team don't look good either.

I can't believe I'm defending Alabama, for whom I have no love whatsoever, but this is exactly why I think there is about to be a big turnaround.
When Herschel commented on his team in 1980, he said they weren't the best but they played together as a unit. That's huge, and it's what Alabama hasn't done this season, yet.
I have a weird feeling that's about to change.

Our OL couldn't block my beagle. I don't care if we have Roger Staubach, Tim Tebow or Cam Newton back there, we aren't winning shite.

Unless the switch flips across the board on this team, both offensively and defensively and with the coordinators too. I don't see it. It just feels like we're back to square one.
If we win the West I'll consider it an accomplishment.

WOW! It seems the hypocrisy has no limits. I'm glad you "would consider" an historic outcome to be acceptable.

But here's the difference: those QBs were coached by coordinators who have forgotten more about offensive success than Tommy Rees will ever know...

Bama is going to have to get less soft, more disciplined, better on the offensive line and more consistent at QB if they are going to have a remote chance to run the table.

I don’t see it happening. I think they lose at least 1 or 2 more.

As of 10/8/23, 42 of you rantards said Alabama had no chance at the playoffs while myself and 14 of you thought they had a good chance. I'll update again after they beat LSU in November.
