What would he have to do for you to see that headline and think sounds about right.

For me it’s to win the SEC west and be competitive in the SEC championship game.

Sad part that is doable with every position we have but offensive line and coach.

6-6 this year isn’t asking much

Beat FIU, MSU, AUBurn and Missouri at home

With everything we have, a serviceable line and a down west/Bama? That’s not even that big of a dream.

I’m obviously on the Pittman never should have been given an extension, you don’t give stop gaps extensions and raises.

Go 8-4 and I’m back on board. Short of winning the west id still be pissed about the byu loss but if we go 2-2 the 4 weeks and only drop 1 game on the back half of the schedule I’ll at least believe he can fix things. 6-6 year 4 with an all conference qb is unacceptable and should be a fireable offense.

I’ll never be back on board, but if wins the sec west, I can see how you have to keep him and the hot seat is cooled down.

Realistically 7-5. No one in Arkansas football is serious about winning big so why should we be?

6-7 wins is what we've averaged since joining the league.
At this moment it sounds like lofty expectations.

Is that taking away the 4 terrible coaching hires?

take away the chad and bert years and it’s a lot better than that. Bert and chad were unmitigated disasters. 4-8,3-9,2-10,2-10. Horrible years

Problem is you can't. They were shitty hires and are ingrained in the record books forever.

I don’t see him getting fired if he goes 6-6 this year but anything below he should.

Win the West? Lol, as long as he goes to a bowl game he’s probably fine this year.

Same.

Yurachek gave Pittman an extension with a “F-k you” money raise after going 8-4. No chance he gets fired after going 6-6.

Even if he finishes with a losing record, I still think he’ll be allowed to play the new coordinators (and S&C coach) card and be back next year regardless.

Not that I support it. Just conveying what I think is the most likely outcome.

7 wins and the team is playing hard together to finish the season, he gets another year.

6 wins he probably gets another year, but if there is an attractive replacement we are sure we could get then a tough decision will be made.

Less than 6 I’d guess we’d move on.

I agree with you guys. He is here if he goes 6-6 and makes a bowl.

However the caveat was and “you think that sounds about right”.

And for me I think winning the west I can see why you wouldn’t get rid of him, but him to make another who cares bowl in his 4th year with all the talent the team has outside of the offensive line is an abysmal season.

Did you have national title hopes coming into the year or something?

No but he has completely lost me.
I know he will be back next year, but I can’t for the life of me see why.

If he did those things I would think, oh well obviously you have to keep him now.
