On top of this, Johnson doesn't look 100% healthy out there.

Criswell is almost certainly better in this offense but good luck with that.

The defense wasn't great, but when you can't punt the ball worth a damn and start them on your own side of the ball every possession they are bound to break.

AJ Green didn't play much so there's that.

Now Titboss is saying that KJ was dinged up going into the game. Just another reason to give Criswell a shot.

This crap is past its prime and won't do well in modern college football FOR US. I love KJ but he just isn't a read type of QB.
A very nice way of saying we're handicapped with a slow QB.

I'm ready to cut the losses and start playing someone actually fit for the position. If we have to dumb our entire offense down to baby's first playbook levels for it to function, we're running it through the wrong guy.

I feel worse for KJ out of all this. Briles would've hid his flaws enough to get him drafted, probably in the mid rounds. Not sure that happens now

I think that's his 2023 100% unfortunately. Doubt he ever gets back to 2021 100%

True to an extent, although I think he would have gotten figured out in the questioning process leading up to the draft anyway. Definitely would have fallen no matter what.

Our offense has been hanging our (admittedly shitty) defense out to dry for 3 years. I’m just trying to make the point that many of the same people who were defending Briles and calling for Odom’s head on a platter, are now shitting on Enos, and giving the defense a pass.

Seems we have as many Kendall Briles fans as we do Razorback fans at times.

It could have been Paul Petrino and the sentiment would be the same. It's just wanting the ex back when things in the current relationship get rocky.

I just think he was better for our personnel on offense. I would've been happy with keeping Odom too

Which is natural, since he recruited them here for the last 3 years. Odom needed to go too, just for different reasons.

This. I would have been fine with letting Briles leave if we brought in someone that runs a similar style. Bringing in a mediocre OC that runs a completely different style of offense was just dumb.

Somehow we only held onto the worst of our 3 coordinators

The only thing I have any curiosity left for is seeing the offense run by a different QB next year. I don't think Enos has been allowed to do what he wanted to do initially. They talked about wanting to throw the ball more this year and we've done the opposite, even with the line struggling. Don't think that's by choice. He was breaking Maryland's passing records with Tua's little brother before he came here. I think KJ is a bigger set of handcuffs than a lot of people think, which Briles should be credited for working around considering he didn't have a Criswell behind him as a realistic option. He pretty much had to make it work and he did.

I love KJ for what he has been, but I think he is a liability in many areas. He made his bones on athleticism, and I don’t think anyone can teach him not to revert to that at the first opportunity, because it has served him pretty well.

I don’t think it is fair to expect high level quarterback play, when the offensive line is as bad as ours has been the last couple of years. But it seems like with KJ, he rarely makes good choices outside of letting his raw athletic talent take over when things inevitably go wrong.

Defense still gave up 38, right? I guess now that Briles is gone the offense gets all the blame.

The defense gave up under 300 yards. You take that number all day. Unfortunately our punter decided to kick a couple balls 20 yards and totally fricked our defense.

Which is pretty much precisely what Briles offense did to the defense as often as not. Our defense would be on the field for an 8 or 10 play drive, then our offense goes 3 and out in about 24 seconds, defense couldn’t even sit down.

Taulia is a better QB than Jefferson.

I like Jefferson and I said this last year but he is limited in some way.
