It could be a smart move to have some sort of contingency plan for next year or when Saban limps out? Someone that the REC has vetted and has full approval of??

They should hire Freeze. It would give them a great coach and hamstring their biggest rival. Can you imagine the melt?

I suspect Bama will have a Ray Perkins type hire first as no one will want to risk having to follow Saban, then you'll see them hire a big name after the other flounders at 8-4 a couple of years.
