Nope. Pop culture never has, and never will, been the arbiter that dictates morality.
Secular morality shifts like the wind because there is no "north star".
True morality never changes, regardless of what you want or think.
The same can be said of truth. Today's buzz phrase is "your truth", like what you think actually matters. The truth doesn't bend to an individual's will. "Your truth" may be that you can fly. But THE truth is that, if you jump off the empire state building and flap your arms, you're going to hit the ground and die. So, in actuality, "your truth" is a fantasy. Just like moral relativism.
Now, call me old and outdated. Don't care. I've actually spoken THE truth.

Yep. I have been making my opinion of the length of my 16-yr old daughter’s shorts known a lot in the past year. We were at my mom’s house a few weeks back and ended up going through the old photo albums for the first time in a decade.
I was looking through some pics from the 70s when I was probably 3-4 and my mom was in her mid-twenties. I told my daughter, “well I guess I need to ease up on you about short shorts.” Her - “why?” Me - “look at these pics of Nonna…”

This comment in itself is why our country is going down. Morales are not outdated just overlooked. Good for the OP to teach his child how they should and should not conduct themselves. I have two girls myself. The problem is people are letting everyone else teach and guide their children instead of raising them unselfishly and being the examples worth imitating. Age has nothing to do with the respect you carry yourself with, nor the decade you were born. I was born in the 90's. People need to stop making excuses and start making the right decisions and living with respect for themselves and people around them.
