following a 30-24 road loss to South Carolina, the Aggies' third straight loss in their six-game skid, four freshmen were indefinitely suspended after being caught smoking marijuana in the locker room, according to a report by the Houston Chronicle.
All four players suspended after the South Carolina game -- Denver Harris, Chris Marshall, PJ Williams and Anthony Lucas -- left the program following the season.

Money has poured in for the upgrading of the football facilities, with four donors giving $62.5 million as part of the centennial campaign. There were two other $5 million gifts, meaning six people gave to the tune of $72.5 million.
Season tickets are sold out with fans purchasing nearly 93,000 of 102,733 seats, which is a record for Kyle Field since its expansion in 2015. Bjork said Texas A&M has sold 23 new suites, and donations are tied to those suites.
"And we're about to hit $20 million in sponsorship revenue. We've never hit $20 million, and that's separate from donations," Bjork said. "So in every metric of support, it's never been better."
David Coolidge, a major donor whose name is on the new Football Performance Center (featuring a massive 180-yard indoor facility), was a member of the 12th Man Kickoff team at Texas A&M in 1987 under Jackie Sherrill. Coolidge views the 2022 season as an "anomaly" and said it's like any business that has one bad year and then bounces back.
"I'm super supportive that we're going to do the same thing with our football program and that Jimbo has it headed in the right direction," Coolidge said. "Now, we're going to find out, but he's made changes on his staff, recruiting at a level we never have in the past, and has gotten rid of some players that probably didn't need to be here. Nobody likes being 5-7, but at its core, I think the program is extremely healthy."

On putting the pieces together for a run at the SEC. Pieces are falling into place for you.

Money spent on college football is fricking unbelievable. Billion+ dollar organizations.

I hope you're right, and I'm impressed by your ability to say so. I assumed you were being sarcastic, as in "congrats on a mostly positive ESPN article," but I'm glad I was wrong. I mean it. It's appreciated.

It’s a good article. Interesting to hear Fisher and Petrino thoughts. Could end up being a very good combination.

Nah. Winning for those of us who are runner ups is taking advantage of opportunities. Would not be surprised if they made a good run now. Might be their year.

Nah, Petrino will end up pissing off Jimbo royally. Just a matter of time

To be perfectly honest I am an owner in a company with 2 partners. We don’t always get along and sometimes it gets contentious and loud.
I can promise you good things come from different opinions, perspectives and methods of execution.
We are not a small company.

No conference title in a quarter century, no national title since its only one in the 1930s.......but the aggie failures of 2022 were an anomaly?!?

You know … maybe you’re right.
So what does the non-internet character part of you say on the subject?
You horns always bring great perspective.
Thanks.

So we should just give up?
Seems weak.

I think if Petrino is left alone by Jimbo, a&m will win 9, maybe 10, games. You guys will likely have a better season than us (Texas). I think this weekend in Miami is as important a game for aggie football as we've seen since the days of JFF. I really think this is huge. A loss could create a downward spiral. Neither Miami or a&m can afford to lose this one.

We will see how this next weekend goes. The schedule is difficult

Money, money, money, money.....MONEY!!

Petrinos name wasn't mentioned once in your quotes and you only spoke of throwing money at a problem.

My question is whether or not Fisher can leave Petrino alone.
My thought on the Miami game? Our D has to stop their run—something we’ve struggled with of late.
I’m going to take your comment about whichever team loses and tweak it a bit: How said team responds to an early season loss could avert a spiral.

If they start losing, there will most assuredly be an epic clash. But even if they win, Petrino will eventually start getting too much credit for Jimbo's ego to handle and there will be an epic clash.
