I doubt there will be excuses, the alters will just disappear like they did during the baseball season and leave the real Tennessee fans to pick up the pieces.

Considering Ed Orgeron had never been a coordinator at any level or head coach that would be a great point, except Heupel has been a successful coordinator and head coach prior to Tennessee. Tennessee is ranked 12th preseason and LSU is ranked inside the top 10. Of the two, LSU has the greater likelihood of disappointing. No sane Tennessee fan expects them to beat Georgia or Alabama again especially on the road so I am not sure what your point is

I think UT could easily have a "back to earth" season this year.
They're success is predicated on having the same offensive success as last year with a new QB and WR's. If that doesn't happen, it's not like they have the defense to compensate.
If UT loses either @UF or home vs SC, they're a 4-loss team.
