Either way we got 2 good edge guys in Waller and Jackson already.

Florida stopped pursuing him hard when we had our wave of commitments. He is going to be a Vol.
He's a specimen, but he has not performed on the field. Only 2 sacks and 10 TFL last year.

Great so we are getting a bust. I guess we finally green lit him to commit after striking out on several DEs the last few months. Everyone else has filled up it seems like.

I received a text tonight from my source saying UT is the school that’s expected to land Ross.
Impressive get out of Vestavia Hills considering it’s less than an hour from Tuscaloosa.
Exact words from my contact:

Why wouldn’t Bama recruit a 5* that’s the #1 recruit in the state? Not only is he the #1 recruit in Alabama, he the #2 EDGE in the country, and 12th overall.
Crazy that you offer a guy, and then invite him a month later to attend junior day. But yes you’re not recruiting him.
But I guess I would stop recruiting him also if he told me he wasn’t impressed with Junior day and to stop recruiting him. You’re not recruiting him because he told you to stop, not the other way around.

All projection for him. On3 is such a joke to have this guy rated #70 then have Kamarion Franklin and Jamonta Waller outside of the top 200.

Bama doesn’t recruit a lot of highly rated guys for various reasons. George Pickens also comes to mind. Positional need, personality, culture fit, all sorts of reasons. In this case, kid also seems a bit overrated by the services. Still a good get for a program like UT.

Yeah, if you asked every college football coach who they'd have if they could choose between Waller and Ross, every single one would pick Waller. But his measurables are not good enough for some recruiting experts

Have you seen the level of talent that’s in the Birmingham area. Also stats don’t always tell the entire story. He gets doubled team a lot and team tend to run away from him more over than not. He is the best player on his team playing against teams like Hewitt Trussville, Thompson, Hoover. He will perform on the field when he has help. Vestavia Hills isn’t a football school.
