Anyone tried both and can offer a comparison?

For that it’s worth, I don’t think either of their team coverage is worth it.

If you solely want the most bang for your dollar on team coverage then subscribe to Ferguson’s Auburn Observer. They cover basketball and football really well and you get all of their podcasts

From a recruiting standpoint I think On3 has the best recruiting coverage. Clemente does a really good job at 247 too but if I’m choosing one or another, it’s On3 right now

You can get all their content on YouTube or here. Why waste money

This gets said a lot but it’s not really true

Granted, anything super big/important is essentially available everywhere right when it’s happening. If that’s all you’re into then following this board is definitely enough

There’s tons of recruiting content specifically that just never makes it here. Less than half I’d guess. I don’t have the time or interest to bring it all here. Sometimes AUFan goes on an absolute bender and recaps every thread from the week but that’s not too often these days

FWIW, if you are like me, you sometimes find value in the communities of posters on both 247 or on3.. The community might not give you secret intel, but sometimes you might have a guy that will share an article about Auburn, or an article about something that is interesting, or they will share a perspective that is unlike yours but worth hearing. In that sense, I can stomach the few dollars.

I really dont know a whole lot about Ferg's stuff. I dont even know if Ferguson offers the interpersonal capability that the rest offers. Ferg seems to be more for nerds and that is okay too.

As for the actual football content, football seasons are epic on these boards. Lot of traffic. Lot of opinions. Lot of action. You are getting your real bang for the buck during those great months of action if you like that sort of thing.

That is why I can't leave the bunker, met some great people through that site.

I had on3 for a while too, but I'm not exactly well liked by a few people there. I feel like Cole has a tendency to write a lot of posts that say absolutely nothing.

Yes. He bores me. Even the football technician side of him is boring stuff to me.

But he is a great guy and all of that. He just isnt for me.

I enjoyed Ferg's film room stuff while he was at The Athletic. I guess that could be considered "nerdy". I have joined the paid version ($40/year) Auburn Observer but have listened to some of the free podcasts he puts out with Auburn Observer.

On3 has the best recruting stuff, and rivals is basically an OT board now. IDK about 247, left there a while back.

The websites aren't much different. What makes the difference to me is the posters. A lot of the old timers and former players have followed Murphy and Caldwell for a long time so the amount of donors and former letterman on 247 is a lot higher than what I've seen at the other 2.

depends on what you are looking for ON3 has more recruiting content and typically stays on topic with Auburn. Rivals seems to be a bunch of arguing or stupid topics related nothing to Auburn. 247 I dont have any expierence with.

On3 recruiting coverage is second to none. Seems like Hokanson makes educated guesses most of the time with his “intel”, I’m not really sure what he does.

I like 247. Philip Dukes gives good info.

My favorite guys are the War Rapport. I know they don’t provide much in the way of “intel” but I like their format and the guys have good conversations.

Is ON3 always bad with the trackers and spyware?

I have been dealing with a fews advertisements "particularly I made the 5 billionth search" that is is making looking at On3 impossible.

Get you a good add blocker for your browser. That will cut down on it.

A Pi-Hole DNS server on your local network will eliminate the pop-up ads and other junk. Not too difficult to set up if you have a little bit of technical knowledge.
