247 shows them as signing 2 of #1 players.

That might be correct according to 247. I was going by what our On3 guy said.

I never realized quite how much talent they wasted. Haven't paid attention in the last decade. Seriously, do they have any good NFL talent? I know Foster, Sterns, and that LB were total busts. I'd expect that pattern to continue.

I can remember when Mack Brown used to have classes full of four and five star players committed before the season started, and almost all of them were from Texas. Lack of talent has never been the issue for Texas or A&M. Mostly mediocre to bad coaching.

Clearly LSU doesn't need to. They do just fine now opposed to faggy and horns down

And that's precisely why TAMU fans were extremely upset when they woke up 2 years ago to the news of Texas joining the SEC. That SEC patch on the Texas uniform means there's no reason an instate recruit would choose the Aggies over Texas.

I'm no fan of Jimbo, but he has proven that he can build a team that can beat the best SEC programs.

Texas has a looooong way to go before they can say the same thing to recruits, and Sark may not be there at the end of that road.

Well . . On3 did not exist until the last few years and the 247 rankings were the composites so I think he is just mistaken. Still, the point stands.

Could you explain this a little more? Are you saying he built Texas A&M into a team that can beat the best SEC programs?

He recruits at a high level. He's beaten Alabama and LSU. The problem is his teams are so schizophrenic that they drop a lot of games to teams they should beat on paper. Watching him fumble with his play sheets on the sideline like a crazy college professor is a good indication to me of how he runs the program as a whole.

Look at their schedule since 2018. Multiple wins over big 6 teams. I think the only team they haven't beaten yet is Georgia.

Sure thing. Outside of the RB last year, Texas hasn't had a first round draft pick in years. It's a place to dead-end your career and stall your development.

Garbage defense, with mediocre talent at best. Can't expect more when the 'defensive' coach comes from the we can't play defense leauge out West. The one that doesn't exist anymore ;)

You'll be right eventually aggy, I'm certain of it.

Why is this confusing? Under Jimbo and Sumlin, A&M has managed to beat

#1 Alabama - 2012
#3 Auburn - 2014
#9 Tennessee - 2016
#7 LSU - 2018
#4 Florida - 2020
#1 Alabama - 2021
#5 LSU - 2022

Both coaches have been able to beat the leading teams in the conference.

True.

Texas landing a top player in Texas shouldn't be surprising. Great program, rich history, good coaches, and a lot of $$$. OP had a poor troll attempt.

Well, you see chucklefrick, when someone says Jimbo built something, and then you come along and say Sumlin did the same thing, Jimbo didn’t really built it did he. Just like he didn’t really build FSU, either.

Go ahead and post Sumlin and Jimbo records and regale us with tales of Jimbo the Builder.

Ask all the kids from Texas who have national championship rings why they chose LSU over Tejas

I assume there is a point floating around somewhere in your head.

Feel free to stop babbling and make sense.

What?? A&M has 2 wins against Alabama and 3 against LSU since joining the SEC.

It probably feels like they're really good because LSU loses to them every other year these days. But Texas is certainly not a looooong way away from being able to say "we beat Alabama and LSU a few times a decade."

Texas needs to worry about beating the Kansas programs of the big 12, then worry about beating the Arkansas programs of the SEC.

Maybe if Texas can handle those kind of programs consistently they'll get a little respect. Until then, Tejas is bottom bitch.
