Kudos to Bama and Ole Miss. These two songs below are coooooool listening, I love'em. Great memories.....
Alabama: from 1977, "Deacon Blues" by Steely Dan (band is from New York), song peaked at #19 on Billboard, ranked 214th on Rolling Stone's Top 500 Greatest Songs of all time (2021).
"They got a name for the winners in the world
(I) I want a name when I lose
They call Alabama the Crimson Tide
Call me Deacon Blues"
Deacon Blues
Ole Miss: from 1976, "Moonlight Feels Right" by Starbuck (band is from Atlanta), song peaked at #3 on Billboard and was ranked as the 34th Biggest Song of 1976.
"We'll lay back and observe the constellations
And watch the moon smilin' bright
I'll play the radio on southern stations
Cause southern belles are hell at night
You say you came to Baltimore from Ole Miss
Class of seven four gold ring"
Moonlight Feels Right

I think Drake has mentioned Kentucky a few times. In fact, they just held practice at his house this past week.

He also mentions “Pistol Pete’s Palace” not saying LSU specifically but clearly referencing LSU in that song

Drake had Draft Day mentions Johnny.
But I can’t think of any A&M mentions (not a player) specifically in other songs of any genre.

Awwwrighty, que'em up. Has to be school's name, not the state name. Sorta goin' to be hard for the Vols to crack this, I can tell.

There's a song out right now. A country song where she is dating a guy from Tennessee and her family are all UGA fans.
Tennessee Orange. I think that would count for both UGA and TN. It hit #30 in the top 100

That refers to Rosa Parks, not the University.
We must be the only fanbase that loves to piss on our own parade.

I'd always assumed it was the George Wallace debacle at Alabama. As for pissing on our own parade, it's not exactly something to be proud of. Kind of like being constantly reminded how you fricked up, once upon a time.

If you want to see a really dated and cheesy song about Ole Miss, you need to watch this.
