Cal must be panicked AF right now. All that debt, their conference is collapsing around them, and they currently have no where to go.

You may recall we completely rebuilt our stadium a few years back. Those bonds are going to be paid off over a period of years, but we have more than enough revenue to handle it. The real question might be - how does LSU have as much debt as they do without a new stadium?

They had to take out some loans for that number one recruiting class.

In fairness, LSU is #2. I'm not sure that is the gotcha you were looking for.

At least they're consistent with the rest of the state.

LSU has the only athletic department in the SEC that doesn't receive any state subsidies.

They have cashflow to support the debt servicing I wouldn’t be comparing them to Cal or SDSU

Yep. We borrowed money to completely rebuild our stadium. Not sure what LSU used that money for.

Why does LSU have so much? You already know why A&M's is so high but felt the need to make a response thread anyhow.
