-Perhaps the most damning statistic of Bret Bielema’s tenure at Arkansas was his record when leading entering the fourth quarter. He was just 10-13 (.435) in games the Razorbacks led by 1-14 points through three quarters. In fact, Bielema lost the last five games in which that was the case – including the final two games of his tenure. Bielema lost 34 games at Arkansas, so that means he had a lead with 15 minutes remaining in 38.2 percent of his losses.
-To illustrate just how bad that is, the rest of the SEC was 174-41 (.809) when holding a 1- to 14-point lead through three quarters over the last five years. All 13 of Arkansas’ conference foes have a better winning percentage than the Razorbacks in those games, with the closest being Tennessee at .571 (8-6 record).
Similarly, previous head coaches at Arkansas dating back to 1966 compiled a 124-28-3 record (.810) when leading by 1-14 points entering the fourth quarter. Excluding interim coaches John L. Smith and Joe Kines, that winning percentage increases to .819.

Yes. I looked at all the games from 2013 to 2017 and counted roughly 18 games where he had the lead in the third quarter and lost at the end of regulation or OT.

In the third quarter against Rutgers, Arkansas had a 24-14 lead.
Lost 28-24.
In the third quarter against State, Arkansas had a 17-10 lead.
Lost 24-17 in OT.
In the third quarter against LSU, Arkansas had a 27-21 lead.
Lost 31-27.
Arkansas should have been 6-6.
2014 season.
Arkansas had a 28-14 lead in the third quarter against the aggies.
Lost 35-28 in OT.
Arkansas trailed Bama 7-6 in the third quarter.
Lost 14-13.
Arkansas tied State 10-10 in the third quarter.

The competition that Bert faced in the Big 10 was vastly inferior to the SEC.
When you face against teams that have the same or better talent than you are then the decision making process has little room for error.
He didn't face that problem in the Big 10 where Wisconsin was superior than the far majority of teams.
It just makes you appreciate coaches like Broyles, Holtz, Hatfield and Petrino.

I'm hoping the depth will help with that. Dubinion, Green, and Dominique are all great options as backups. Hoping that opens up space for KJ to run less and stay healthy

Enos did a good job of using tight ends and if he can develop 3rd down plays with them it’ll take pressure off of KJ hopefully.
