Sad day for the Alabama Sports Board - TidalSurge1 passed away on July 8th

Hey everybody. I hate to be the one to have to break this news, but our friend TidalSurge1 passed away on July 8th.
I sent him a text a couple days ago and he never responded. I knew he was having some health issues lately based on a few of his posts so I Google'd his name, Florida and obituary.

Damn. One of my favorite people on the board. Definitely was salty and petulant at times but also a true Bama fan and seemed like a good dude. Condolences to his family, he will be missed by me.

Sad to hear. I never really interacted with him directly but I always appreciated the work he put in on the recruiting threads. Prayers for his family.

I'm really saddened to hear this. I knew he had some health issues, but I didn't realize it was as bad as it apparently was.

Very sad news. I was just thinking of him a few days ago when I noticed he had not posted in a while. Was hoping he was recovering well from his health issues. He was a boon to this site, will miss his presence.
