From USAToday Sports.................
Who has the best PRE-GAME PREPARATIONS?
Every school’s fans have their specific rituals to gear up for game time. Some are more iconic and identifiable with a particular program than others.
#1 -- Alabama
#2 -- Texas A&M
#3 -- Tennessee
#4 -- Ole Miss
#5 -- South Carolina
Who has the best MASCOT PARTICIPATION/ENTRANCES?
Every school has a mascot, of course, but some are more readily identified with their institution than others. We also admit to being somewhat partial to the live ones.
#1 -- Georgia
#2 -- Auburn
#3 -- LSU
#4 -- Missouri
Which school has the BEST FAN TRADEMARKS?
Whether it’s a certain gesture, a signature cheer, or a particular method of creating noise, these items are inseparable from the fan base that made them famous – or infamous.
#1 -- Florida (Gator Chomp)
#2 -- Arkansas (Hog Call)
#3 -- Mississippi State (Cowbells)

The Walk of Champions – It’s a brief opportunity for the Crimson Tide players to interact with their supporters as they debark from their team bus upon arrival at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The short pregame greeting also serves as a reminder of just how the Tuscaloosa community is wedded to the success of the Crimson Tide.
So, Alabama is tier 1 because their players get off the bus and walk into the stadium with fans aroudn them?
Gee, it's not like dozens of other programs do the same thing..

Pretty solid list that is hard to argue with. I am sure most will fight for their traditions because its special to them.
So in that spirit, ill offer up that I think Sandstorm is up there for fan trademarks. Darude has said he knows about Carolina using the song and would DJ it for a game. Idk why we havent jumped on that. Its a new traditions so I get why it may be left off
Mascot participation/entrances. 2001 is usually ranked really highly for entrances, and apart of that is cocky coming out of the black box. Cocky is a national champion mascot in his own right, but the entrance is electric. It would be probably ranked higher if Carolina could field consistently good teams giving us higher profile games on TV at night.
anyways, solid list!

Also Jet, I know you think I intentionally try to nitpick you which isn't the case, but JUST as an FYI the article doesn't list/rank teams like you did. They ahve them in tiers, not a 1-through-whatever ranking.

LSU's 4 notes is the best pregame ritual in college football. I'll die on that hill. I've been to over 20 LSU games and it still gives me goosebumps.
I'd put Ole Miss' From Dixie With Love right behind it.

My favorite pregame tradition at Schtate is drinkin' that colbeer and peeing behind some bushes near a geology building.
Been doing that for years now.

A tradition unlike any other.

LSU hasn't trademarked yelling profanities yet? Gets them to #1 if they ever do

Events on the Quad (Drumline at Denny Chimes, Elephant Stomp at Gorgas, among others) are much better (jmho).

This is my 25,000th post. My messages on this monumental occasion are simple:
- mercerbears GOAT.
- although I would undoubtedly whoop BobLeeDagger's candy arse IRL, he is a good dude and has never given me a reason to do so.

A dog sleeping in a house versus an eagle flying around a stadium.
Well, ok then.

Yeah, no question that should be #1. Unfortunately, the author didn't distinguish between "mascots" and "Live mascots" (which proves how much research they put into the story...

Auburn's Eagle flying in is far better than anything that inbred UGA does.
I would have put Mike up there with the Eagle when he used to participate.

Serious question, what is special about Bully sitting in a dog house?
I also am not familiar with Missouri’s entrance?
I’d think a live Hog would be up the list.
