Man this one is tough

Chris Kyle, Marcus Luttrell, or Audie Murphy from armed forces
Willie Nelson or George Strait as entertainers
Dr. Red Duke as bad arse doctor

I want to love Chris Kyle but the embellishment towards the end of his life is a bit of a tarnish,

And this state has produced Dwight Eisenhower, Chester Nimitz, Earl Rudder, and many others so it is a tough call for sure regarding soldiers.

Audie Murphy>>>>>Chris Kyle , Marcus Luttrell....and the rest combined

Now I would put Sam Houston above him

Those are all great. Just wanted to add Peppy Blount a great raconteur who’s been called the Texas version of Will Rogers. An iconic World War 2 hero, former football official and tremendous athlete.

Certainly Stephen F Austin, Sam Houston Gene Autry, Carol Burnett, Buddy Holly, Debbie Renolds, Dwight Eisenhower and Beyoncé.
