Arkansas fans in NWA, what's the hotel situation

We have all heard about the Lexington regional fiasco. How is it looking around Fayetteville/Bentonville? WalMart shareholders meeting is this week also. I know the teams usually stay at the Embassy Suites. Maybe they were proactive and knew Ark would host.

The shareholder's meeting is virtual only this year so it really shouldn't mess with the hotel situation.

That is good news for me. I avoid XNA this week usually but need to travel on Monday for work.

One thing to remember is that Rogers and Bentonville are practically conjoined twins the cities over lap so much. Staying in one city versus the other might add an extra ten minutes to your drive but that would be it.
Lots and lots of ethnic food up here if that is your thing. Except for good fried chicken damn it. One or two places have good fried chicken and the rest sucks.

There are a handful of people in town for shareholders, but not the usual glut.
It's a medium-sized metro of 600k. Don't forget to include Johnson, Springdale, Rogers, and Bentonville in the search results.
Bentonville traffic to Fayetteville sucks around 4-6pm weekdays, but its smooth sailing the rest of the time. Downtown Bentonville is now nicer than downtown Fayetteville (as much as it pains me to say it).
Really all four big towns are on their way to having downtowns that mimic a college-town hipster feel, but most of the hotels are going to be along I-49.

I'd put our Asian and Mexican food up against most metros not located in Texas or California. Tons of Thai and Pho. not a ton of Indian food, but it isn't my bag anyway.

A Taste of Thai is hard to beat just about anywhere Ive ever been. And youre dead right on there being tons of Vietnamese and Thai options. Surprisingly little to no Chinese options. The ones they do have do not look good at all.

We have good sushi, (and some shitty).
My personal favorite is Sushi House in Bentonville. It's a company town sushi place. They do not frick around. Within 90 seconds of walking in the door you'll have a seat, a drink, a bowl of miso and a sample roll. And this is even if the place is packed.
They get you in and they get you out, and the sushi hits your table about 30 seconds after being sliced.
Love how fast-paced they are in there. Reminds me of a place in NYC or something.

You can get some good fried chicken at the Monte Ne Inn in Rogers.
Or you can go to the local Harps.

If you are including Glasgows in Bentonville then I would agree.
The white queso cheese dip they serve is awesome.

Shareholders meetings are always around this time of year. Never an issue when Hogs host a regional.

Seems like there's not enough of one ethnicity, then...

They are all dirty but nothing beats the nastiness of a local KFC and Taco Bell.

Glasgow's has closed it doors permanently. The owner/operaters retired this spring.

They had a piece of paper on the door that said we are closed for the spring but I guess that meant until the after Memorial day.
But I guess that really means closed for good.

Those in the know, go to Neals Cafe in Springdale for fried chicken.
