He has been a decent coach. Good recruiter but our DL got ran over last year. I wouldn't want to lose him this time of year but it's not like he couldn't be replaced.
I had his recruiting confused with Coach Lucas so Lindsey hasn't been that great. I'm surprised LSU would go after him. I would think your program could do loads better.

It does seem like a weird hire. But he is tight with Matt House apparently so that’s the connection.

For a school, like LSU, that prides itself on a physical defense line hiring Lindsey should not excite the fanbase.
Maybe this quote from one of our boards will explain the move to LSU fans

I would think LSU can do better. He's been fine, but still seems like our DL never really reached its potential while he was here.

Dude sucked and we could never stop the run

He's a solid recruiter but his unit hasn't quite performed to the level of talent they have on paper. I hate losing the guy but he's hardly irreplaceable.

He's not a guy that's gonna make us or break us and, he's not a great recruiter nor was he able to keep a couple of our guys from transferring.
Word is, and has been since January, that things were not great between him and our DC Clayton White.
Jimmy is a Carolinas boy who claimed he wanted to stay here and be close to home but ... things were getting shakey when one of our 5 star DEs left for Oregon and gave Lindsey some bad scores in his exit interview.
Clayton White is the key to our defense ... he'll have Lindsey replaced in short order.
Lindsey did not develop the great talent he had in his two years here.

He's at Tulane now? As of when, just recently?
I ran into him in Peachtree City last year and he was still living there at the time.

I know he has NFL ambitions and South Carolina just makes sense as the next step for him and the family. I hope they get that opportunity for sure.

He was hired by them in March of 2022. Isn't Tulane poor? Surely we can afford to pull him from there. And he's one of us to boot.
