Arkansas Football: too good to have lowly Mizzou as a rival?

I've noticed over the years that Arkansas fans seem to view their football program as prestigious - and seem to be of the opinion lately that the Hogs view themselves as a bit too good to have a rival in lowly Mizzou. And that's always bothered me a bit, because it always seemed like Arkansas's best seasons came at the expense of also-rans in the SWC over 50 years ago. So I was curious if the numbers supported this conclusion. And guess what? They do.
Prior to joining the SEC for the 1992 season, Arkansas held an impressive 555-360-38 all-time record. That's good for a 60.5% win-rate. What those numbers don't show is that many of those wins came against teams like Tulsa, TCU, Baylor, Rice, and SMU. Bear in mind that TCU and Baylor in those days were absolute dogshit.
Since joining the SEC, Arkansas has posted a 181-171-2 record. That's good for just 51.4%, or an average record of 6.24-5.89. It gets worse when you crunch the conference numbers, the Hogs average just a 3.22-4.77 record, good for a 40.32% win-rate.
Now, Mizzou are no world beaters, we all know that, but how do they compare to the Hogs? Since joining the SEC, Mizzou's record is 75-63. Good for a 54.35% win-rate. It's not pretty for the Tigers in conference play either, but it's better than Arkansas: averaging a 3.73-4.45 record, good for a 45.6% win-rate.
So it begs the question, why do so many Hogs see their program as so vastly superior to Mizzou? Is it really because you beat up the little sisters of the poor in Texas for all those years? I don't think we need to bring head-to-head records into this discussion.

I always get a kick out of Arkansas fans and how much they look down their noses at Mizzou

They do the same thing in bball at UF fans for having the nerve to suggest they aren't #2 behind UK in the conference.

Correct. We are not discussing women's cross-country and I will readily concede that Arkansas has a superior basketball program all-time.

This isn’t true. We have respect for what Florida did in that little stretch you had and 2 nattys are more than 1. I don’t recall any of our fans disparaging Florida.
Donavan was a heck of a coach.

What's funny is Mizzou has a better record against the SEC East (29-36) than they do (33-54). In fact, Arky has a losing record to UK.

You better appreciate the Arkansas series because before long you’re going to be playing Oklahoma every year and that’s a much tougher game than Arkansas.
Arkansas thinks LSU is a big rival but that’s more of a one sided thing. LSU fans view Arkansas the same as we view Miss State. Just another west game.

Those were mostly very good games. We didn’t play them often but when they did roll around on our schedule they’d have the Hefty Lefty, Couch or it seems there was another really good qb I’m forgetting as well. Some of their better teams, no pushovers except the year they beat us with a receiver at qb but we weren’t very good either that year.
I like playing them and would like to play them more often.

The only thing Arkansas is good for is being a testing target for a nuke.
