How annoying was that 13yr-old boy doing P.A. announcing in Birmingham?

SEC is host for the site, seems like they could have hired someone better in the area. Auburn, bama, UAB, Barons, etc, arena announcers would have all been better. Checking a box I guess.

I don’t understand why I am hearing the P.A. announcer more in Bham than any other city. It also sounds like a child.

It was a female. I was at the game and I promise you it was worse in person than on TV

This was the only PA announcer I noticed while watching games today. That’s not a good thing. It’s another weak effort at “inclusion”.

yeah CBS needs to adjust their mics. No reason for that to be coming through on the broadcast.

She had her rosters mixed up in the MD-WVU game and calling out MD player names for WVU players and vice-Versa.

At first I thought it was one of those computerized or pre-recorded voices, like on a subway when it reads out the next stop. (I was envisioning them inputting a number and "the voice" reading out the player name.)
There were so many mistakes and mispronunciations.

Bump to get opinions of those at the games.
As for a TV viewer, it was horrible, not only did those at the games have to suffer but it was clearly overpowering on the TV broadcasts. I'm sure there were dozens of more qualified P.A. announcers from area programs, but yes, someone forcing inclusion and ruining everyone's game experience.
100 years of having clearly audible, monotone, deep P.A. announcer voices at games, and to force an agenda they push someone in there unqualified and sounding like a pre-pubescent boy.
