My best was a 51. I got the baton in second about 30 meters back and on the second turn he stuck to lane 2 for some asinine reason and I passed and moved in on the last 200 for the win.

I was a fair to meddling track runner but that days I had a 20.5 foot long jump and 10.9 100 in the 4x100.

Never had a day like that again but it was a hell of a feeling on the ride home.

And running outdoors. You'd think an alleged track person would get that indoors is slower because of the excess turns in 200m track vs a 400m.
