Didn't track and field come out of ancient Rome or Greece?

For the most part. First Olympic Games was in like 700BC in Greece but it was basically a race inside a stadium. Later other events like javelin, long jump and the rest were added over time.

Oh so it came from these people:

quote:

An elite corps of male lovers was unique in Greek history, but homosexual relationships were commonplace. In many cities, it was a rite of passage for elite males in their late teens to enter into a pederastic relationship with an older man. This relationship was probably sexual, but it was also pedagogical.

Yikes

It probably hasn't reached Arkansas yet, but there's this thing called Google. It's cool, you can look information and shite up with it.

I'm not the one bragging on the internet about a "sport" created by them.

Congratulations to the Arkansas Razorbacks. For both of these championships. As well as their continued excellence. Arkansas has been, and remains a dominant presence. I am hoping Coach Pat Henry can bring some more championships back to Aggieland. Kudos Hogs.

well, I guess since Bucknam won a natty for 2023, I hope he does another year to keep the momentum going - who knows, maybe he can knock out a threepeat or whatnot

Winning two national titles in the same day is kinda cool, no matter what.

If you hadn’t told us, we’d have never known.

Congratulations!

Probably secured himself another 10 years of no pressure job security.

He hasn't but no one is going to live up to the standards of John McDonnell.

I don't expect it but his tenure here has been a disappointment.

Lance Harter has done a better job than he did and I hope Yurachek will take the coaching search seriously.

Harter’s replacement has already been named. They’re promoting Chris Johnson who is the sprints coach under Harter for the past 10 years.

Crazy to think it's been 10 years since an indoor championship. Been runners up 4 times with the men in that span.

Good to know they are promoting within the program.

Long refused to do so after McDonnell retired.
