Arkansas track & field is truly the definition of dynasty. It’s a monster. Dominated two conferences and the entire nation for 40+ years with no sign of slowing down. No other run in any D1 college sport comes close. Bama girls were a dissssstant T-7 and we had a strong team. Congrats.

John McDonnell should be credited for bringing more popularity and attention to T&F.
His success forced T&F to compete at a higher level or continue to be embarrassed.
We will never see another coach or run like that ever again.

I’ve posted about him here many times. Absolute legend. I was a runner at a DII school in the 80s and we showed up at a few invitationals and competed against the Hogs. I use this term “competed” loosely, lol. We were all in awe of him and his team.
