Full ESPN Article/Report

No quotes or anything in the OP, I’ll just let everyone here who wants to read it do so and draw their own conclusions. Note: It is a long article.

So it turns out the Jeep did follow the players onto Grace Street after Miller arrived. RIP to that whole "blocking in" narrative

Kelvin is angry that Alabama never called to offer condolences, and that they hollowly invoke Harris' name as an afterthought. DeCarla tries not to waste her energy on it. She vacillates between sadness and anger but sticks to her singular focus of raising the little boy her daughter can't.

"They've showed me who they are," she said. "They're not relevant. I'm not going to make the University of Alabama relevant off my daughter's name. Her life is just as important, and her potential for her life is just as important as Brandon Miller."

Police received multiple 911 calls about the shooting. A 911 call also came from University Downs Apartments. According to testimony, Miles and his girlfriend -- in her car -- picked up Davis at an intersection and drove back to the apartment. Miles then called for a gunshot victim, Michael Davis.

So Miller did not drive Miles back to his apartment, which is something many had asked about.

It appears to me that Miles and Miller did the exact same thing: participated in providing a gun to the shooter, Davis. The police/DA didn't believe Miles story about his intent, but they were convinced by Miller's story that he had no intent.

The biggest problem I have with the article is that we are only given one side of the story, as Johnson did not testify.

This article shows Brandon did nothing wrong. It actually suggests a borderline self defense case being the subject pulled a firearm on Davis and Miles. Very sad that the media and so many lazy people across the country drug this young man’s name through the mud. These people didn’t care about facts and Miller and the University of Alabama are owed some apologies. Clay Travis should be sued for everything he owns and also carol robinson.

If what’s in that article is true about the timeline of events, what happened etc… a lot of people owe Brandon Miller an apology.

Now I know that won’t be a popular opinion on this site because you guys don’t actually care about the truth.. you just want to destroy Alabama and Miller.

What this also shows is what a hack job Joseph Goodman and Al.com did with their original “opinion “ pieces.

The key line in this story for Miles is that he gave his friend his gun for protection, not knowing he was going to start shooting at someone.

The fact that the Jeep pulled in behind Miller, with lights off, sounds like the driver of the Jeep was looking for a confrontation.

The trial will reveal more, but it’s going to be interesting

Based solely on what I'm reading here, Brandon Miller should not have been charged.

I'm not sure that Darius Miles should either; more has to be known to make a determination there.

If Davis can't make a self-defense justification, he should bring a toothbrush. He sounds like arrived in Tuscaloosa with trouble. You have to be careful about the company you keep.

The whole thing is as tragic as it was completely avoidable. Just ridiculous, really.

It's amazing how shitty the press is. Do a google search for Cedric Johnson and almost nothing comes up. I think it is equally important to learn as much as possible about all the events that occurred in the death of Jamea Harris. It shouldn't matter if some people play basketball for Alabama and some do not. It's all tabloid journalism for dollars now.

Conclusion: Alabama harbors accomplices to murder for wins in shooty hoops, a sport the majority of Americans DGAF about.

The hacks at AL.com could have investigated like this but instead just chose to throw Miller under the bus for clicks. Typical

As some have alluded to: this seems to be the classic case of Miller is not guilty of anything, yet neither is he innocent.
