Do you really think we get in if we lose to Auburn?

I've always thought 20 was the benchmark. I honestly don't think we deserve to be in if we have lost our last 4.

Is this a joke? We're a projected 8/9.

Benchmarks

No such thing. They just let a player win the SEC Freshman and player of the year that was an accessory to murder.

They just keep moving the goalposts

I know what we're projected, that doesn't always end up being correct

I know it’s hard to believe but we’ve built up equity because of Muss’ success the last couple of years. We’re getting the benefit of the doubt even though you could make a good argument we don’t deserve it. Meanwhile teams like Mizzou, A&M and State are being undervalued in my opinion. I’m fine with it, we were on that side of things for way too long.

It has to do with that half of the season called "non-conference" it happens during the end of the football regular season and bowl season.

The names on the jerseys during these games matter but not like people think. Big names do kot always translate to quality games, little name conference champs carry weight.

Arkansas schedules good in the mom-con and wins the games. They are in over the soft arse schedules played by aggy, Mizzou, and state.

It’s still kind of a crap shoot with mid majors. Fordham, UNC-Asheville and Bradley were .500 last season and ended up being a really good teams this year, fortunately

Yes but these games are not usually scheduled years in advance, there is a guy ont he staff who is responsible to figure who is going to finish high on the midmajor conferences this upcoming season then try and schedule them.

Oh and it's easy to get them when they know they will get a bp playing a tournament team.

I think it’s Ruta and yes he’s done a good job. I’d still like to see some more blue blood games. Baylor, Creighton are good programs but I want traditional powers.

I know, but this is also why I can see us getting fricked on selection sunday, because we always get fricked

I’m not bracket expert but some of the teams on the bubble or first ones in are shitty teams. I think that helps, not a lot of good teams this year.

I hope we lose and fall to a 10. That would be better IMO

People underestimate this. The 8/9 line is the seal of death in the NCAAT.

Give me a 12 seed any day

This team wouldn't play well at all against any one seeds. The 8/9 series record against the one seeds is pretty one sided.

Yeah and normal 8/9 teams don't have two lotto picks either. This tournament makes stats like that so irrelevant.

People used to say a 16 would never beat a 1.

Doesn't matter if Arkansas has two lotto picks or not. If they don't play good basketball then they will have an early exit out of the tournament.

And if they play good basketball they could go far.
