Whats wrong with Chance Westry and Yohan Traore?

Both were top 40 prospects and were supposed to make a big impact for Auburn this year. I dont remember seeing them on the court last night. Are they still on the team? Injured or what?

Traore is a project. Chance had knee surgery before the season and when he came back Bruce just felt he was never right so he pulled the plug on the season

Thought I had heard something about Westry being injured. Think he will be back next year playing for Auburn?

We’ve moved him to the 4 for his NBA hopes. Think that’s really what we sold him on when he committed. He’s not natural at all there. He’ll probably play some 5 Saturday now with Cardwell out but we weren’t gonna stick him in late in a tight game against an elite team. He looks like a baby gazelle out there

Traore is from France.
He has size and some skills, but he is not Jabari Smith/Brandon Miller type skilled freshman.
Westry had knee surgery early in season. Never really found a groove.
Traore needs seasoning.
Westry looks the part, but injuries take time for player to adjust.

The finger, here, should be pointed at Stretch Akingbola. Dude is a complete wasted scholarship. It tells me everything I need to know about him, that the staff wasn’t even able to count on him for any minutes last night.

The staff is giving Stretch a redshirt this year so he can transfer to a smaller school and get some playing time next year.
